Nile University of Nigeria has awarded a full scholarship to Alayande David, the top scorer of the 2024 JAMB exam, who achieved an impressive score of 367 out of 400. David, a student from Zamani College in Kaduna, stood out for his exceptional academic performance. His achievement not only highlighted his dedication but also attracted the attention of Nile University, which offered him this scholarship to support his higher education at their institution. The university’s commitment to nurturing top academic talents aligns with its mission to foster future leaders through excellence in education.

Nile University of Nigeria, founded in 2009, is located in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, and has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading private universities. It is affiliated with Honoris United Universities, a pan-African educational network, which has fueled its rapid growth and expansion. In 2023, the university graduated over 1,200 students, a sharp increase from the previous year, including top performers in the academic field who have been recognized for their excellence. For instance, five students with perfect 5.0 CGPAs were awarded scholarships and prizes, showcasing the university’s focus on fostering academic excellence. Nile University offers a full scholarship to the top scorer of the 2024 JAMB exam, with the main eligibility criteria being a minimum score of 320 and 5 A’s in O’ Level results (WAEC/NECO). Discounts are also available based on the JAMB score, ranging from 10% to 40%, depending on the score and the number of A’s in O’Level results. Applicants must submit their JAMB and O’Level results, along with additional documents like transcripts, a guarantor’s letter, and medical certificates. The scholarship is competitive and awarded on a first-come-first-served basis with a limited number of spots​.
